1. Register Your Ejari: To legalize the landlord-tenant relationship, all rental contracts in Dubai must be recorded in the Ejari system. Visit an Ejari center with your tenancy contract and Emirates ID to complete this step. The Ejari registration fee typically ranges around AED 200. Note that for short-term rentals, Ejari registration is not required.

2. Activate DEWA Services: After registering your Ejari, you will receive a link to activate your electricity and water services (DEWA). A security deposit of AED 2,000 (AED 4,000 for villas) is required, and DEWA services will be active within 24 hours. This step is unnecessary for short-term leasing, as the services are already active upon your arrival.

3. Obtain a Moving Permit: Request permission to move in by submitting an application on the developer’s website. Our customer service team will provide you with the necessary link for this process. Ensure you have your Ejari certificate and Emirates ID on hand for the application. Approval typically takes around 24 hours and applies only to long-term rentals.
